CITY OF SAN LEANDRO: UPDATE - Contactless Curbside Pickup

Pick

City of San Leandro issued the following announcement on Dec. 8

Please note the latest update on the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on Library services.

In response to the Alameda County Health Officer Order No. 20-21 implementing the latest restrictions from the State of California, effective immediately, the San Leandro Public Library will be suspending on-site Curbside Holds Pickup services through Monday, January 4, 2021.

Based on this order, and guidance supplied by the City of San Leandro, San Leandro Public Library is temporarily suspending Contactless Curbside Holds Pickup Service effective Wednesday, December 9th. This includes Curbside Holds Checkout as well as our popular Take-and-Make craft kits. These services will remain suspended at least through January 4th. No overdue fines will accrue during this time, and library due dates will continue to be extended as needed. The Main Library bookdrop will be closed during this time. All currently available holds will be suspended from expiring, and will remain available for at least 2 weeks after Curbside service resumes.

It is clear that now is the time for strong and proactive action in order to protect the public that we serve, as well as our valued staff.

We will continue to hold all of our online programs, including storytimes, book clubs, virtual programming, and more. Visit our event calendar for a full list of events. Phone reference and email reference services will continue to be available Monday – Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Friday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Visit our library website and social media pages for updates.

We will continue to communicate with you as our response to this outbreak evolves. We apologize for any inconvenience, and on behalf of all our library staff, we send you and your loved ones our best wishes and hopes for your safety and health.
