CITY OF SAN LEANDRO: Free Holiday Lights Recycling Program

City of San Leandro issued the following announcement on Nov. 19

Residents may bring old and non-working holiday lights to the Public Works Service Center for recycling. Face covering is required. Light strands of all lengths and colors are accepted. Residents are asked to ensure light strands are free from all excess bags and packaging. Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), pre-lit Christmas trees, lighted garland, lighted wreaths, and extension cords will not be accepted. The program offers community residents the opportunity to recycle holiday lights in a convenient manner, free of charge.

November 16, 2020 – January 15, 2021

Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
