City of San Leandro issued the following announcement on Nov. 19
Residents may bring old and non-working holiday lights to the Public Works Service Center for recycling. Face covering is required. Light strands of all lengths and colors are accepted. Residents are asked to ensure light strands are free from all excess bags and packaging. Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), pre-lit Christmas trees, lighted garland, lighted wreaths, and extension cords will not be accepted.
