City of Oakland issued the following announcement on Nov. 6
On November 3, 2020, at approximately 10:05 AM, The Oakland Police Department Patrol Division responded to the 7800 block of Holly Street to investigate a report of a person shot. OPD Officers responded to the scene and located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). The victim is an Oakland residence and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent shooting. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin. While investigators were on scene the suspect returned to the area and was taken into custody.
