On Sunday, Feb. 2, former Mt. Eden High School standout Luda Gumataotao’s current college team, the Cal State East Bay Pioneers, won 8-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Hawaii–Hilo Vulcans.

The game took place at OC Great Park. This was their first matchup against the Vulcans this season.

The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7 at 12 p.m. at Pioneer Softball Field against Academy of Art Urban Knights.
