On Friday, Jan. 31, former Mt. Eden High School standout Luda Gumataotao’s current college team, the Cal State East Bay Pioneers, won 2-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Vanguard Lions.

The game took place at OC Great Park. This was their first matchup against the Lions this season.

The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1 at 8 a.m. at OC Great Park against Biola Eagles.
