On Friday, May 9, former Mt. Eden High School standout Luda Gumataotao’s current collegiate team the Cal State East Bay Pioneers lost 1-2 against the Western Washington Vikings in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

The game took place at Pioneer Softball Field at 10 a.m. and was the first matchup against the Western Washington Vikings in the tournament.

The Cal State East Bay Pioneers’ next game will take place on Friday, May 9 at 4:25 p.m. at Pioneer Softball Field.
